It Takes a Village
November 11 to December 30, 2017
Opening Reception Friday November 10, 2017 7-9pm
In celebration of 150th birthday of Canada, the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre is pleased to present "It Takes a Village", an exhibition of portraits created by artist Elizabeth Kusinski. Elizabeth's portraits explore her subjects individual narrative and identity which results in a reflection and definition of the Canadian community she lives in.
"Elizabeth is a self taught professional painter of over twenty years. She works exclusively in oil as she believes the colours and textures allows her to truly capture the complexity of light and dark. She believes that to truly bring a painting to life, it has to capture the viewer's interest quickly and then draw them into the painting.
Elizabeth works out of her studio in the quaint fishing village of Port Stanley, Ontario."
